Hershey Bears Booster Club Meet the Players Night 2025
On November 11, 2025, I went to the Hershey Bears Booster Club Meet the Players Night with my mom, my dad, and their friend Carin. This year the tables were set up in long rows so
it was a little harder to see where to sit.. I got REALLY lucky, because I got to sit between Aaron Ness, the captain of the team, and my 2nd favorite player, Grant Cruikshank, who brought his new wife Lizzy.
We talked a lot about me playing hockey, and it was extra funny because Aaron is a defenseman like me and Grant is a forward. They kept chirping each other about whose position is harder. (Obviously defense is harder). It was really funny as they were going back and forth with each other. It was also really fun talking to Lizzy and learn more about her.
There was Hershey’s chocolate on the table, and we were teasing Grant because he LOVES chocolate. Every time he looked at it, you could just tell he wanted to grab some. The food was great, and YES—they served ice cream with sprinkles, just like last year. I also got Andrew Cristall to record a “Happy Birthday” video for my brother CJ, which he he loved.
There were lots of new players there this year, and some of them looked a little shy, but everyone was really nice. Of course I talked to my “bestie,” Kyle, one of the equipment managers. I always love getting to see him.
One of my favorite parts of the night was when all the players lined up and said their name and something interesting about themselves. It was SO funny. I learned that one player has webbed feet, some like to paint, one is good at darts, another plays ping pong, and one guy is “still in school.” But the absolute funniest moment was when Bogdan Trineyev announced that he has the highest body-fat percentage on the team and he doesn’t care what Coach King thinks. The whole room cracked up.
Before we left, I got a photo with the new head coach, Coach King, which was really cool. Then we headed home because I had school the next day.
Meet the Players Night is always one of my favorite things all season. You get to hang out with the team, joke around, and learn the funniest things about the players. I can’t wait to go again next year!
